Artist Biography

Brenda Malley’s career as a professional artist and art tutor spans over 25 years while living in the USA, France, and now at home in Greystones, County Wicklow.

Brenda’s seascape paintings are characterised by the energy and fluidity of her palette knife work, and by the textural richness with which she expresses the surge and flow of the natural elements where land meets sea.

Following her first solo exhibition in the Leinster Gallery Dublin in 2008, Brenda received a Culture Ireland award to present a solo exhibition in Boston. Her work is represented by the Trinity Gallery, Dublin and the Whitethorn Gallery in Clifden.

Brenda’s art was featured in the RTÉ Nationwide programme in 2018.

Brenda divides her time between her studio in Glendarragh in the Wicklow countryside, teaching workshops around Ireland, and conducting sketching holidays in France, Italy and Croatia.
