In this three-day workshop we will be investigating different strategies in observational painting. We will examine how to plan and execute a painting in a natural and logical process, taking our paintings through systems of layer building over a period of days. Informed by our visible surroundings within the landscape and on still life at Artform studios, Aidan will work alongside participants in order to impart his experiences through demonstration and discussion. Aspects such as form and environment, colour and paint application will be our main focus over this course.

* The course takes place in the beautiful village of Dunmore East and in Artform modern ligh-filled seaside studio with 24hr access for each visiting artist, and runs from 11am to 5pm on the first day and from 10am to 4pm on the second day.
