Mick O’Dea is a painter and sculptor living and working in Ireland. Past President of the Royal Hibernian Academy, a member of Aosdána, an Honorary Member of the Royal Scottish Academy, a Fellow of the Anatomical Society, Chairman of the Stamp Design Advisory Committee for An Post, a past member of the Board of Governors and Guardians of the National Gallery of Ireland, and a former lecturer at NCAD. His work is featured in a number of Public and Corporate Collections in Ireland and abroad including The National Gallery of Ireland, CÄ“sis History and Art Museum, Latvia, Glucksman Ireland, House New York University, Government Buildings and Leinster House, Belfast City Hall, The Arts Council of Ireland, The Ballinglen Arts Foundation. In addition Mick’s work is featured in many private collections in Europe, the United States and Asia.
Course concept
* The course takes place in Artform modern light-filled seaside studio with 24hr access for each visiting artist, and runs from 11am to 5pm on the first day and from 10am to 4pm on the subsequent days. Cost does not include accommodation, on request Artform offers artist accommodation options. Details on art materials and safety will be provided after signing up to the course.
